Where can I even start on this nutcase? I was totally at loss for words for this, due to the sheer stupidity involved, and had to literally get a couple of beers in my blood to dumb my brain down to get the process going, so bear with me if I sound a little off.
Shannon Marmion Watts, who also went by aliases Shannon Renee Troughton, Shannon Renee Weaver and Shannon Renee Marmion, is behind the group known as Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America. We will call it MDA, for the simplicity’s sake.
Warning: Watts and her supporters are actively going around Facebook and having any articles relevant to her taken down from pro-gun pages. If you wish to link to this article on your Facebook timeline, please do yourselves a favor by linking to http://hsgca.net/?p=190 and removing the preview box, so that her name won’t be mentioned anywhere in the post.
Just after the Sandy Hook shooting, Watts decided that she couldn’t explain what happened to her son. With that in mind, she created a group known as One Million Moms For Gun Control. After a few weeks, however, they had to change that name to MDA, because they couldn’t find a million mothers to follow their agenda. Personally, I think it’s hilarious.
Watts currently resides in Zionsville, Indiana. Zionsville is a heavily gated community of approximately 14,160 people (as of 2010 Census), with 94% of them being White. Its violent crime rate is not even a TENTH of state average (0.3 per 1,000 residents compared to 3.32 for state). Police response time for suspicious activity is 2~3 minutes. The worst trouble the teenagers find? Smoking pot. A pastor was once reported for going door-to-door by neighbors, not because he was soliciting, but because he is BLACK. This idyllic neighborhood is the setting from which Watts projects her delusions.
Watts has an extensive job history of public relations, which includes working for Missouri State Government, Fleishman-Hillard, Monsanto Company (the general populace certainly has not bought her Monsanto tripe), General Electric Healthcare, WellPoint, and VoxPop. With her job profile, one would assume that she has a knack for influencing public opinion. From what we can tell, this is only true when it comes to the clueless. Specifically, she is calling for introduction of new restrictive gun laws–including but not limited to banning “assault weapons” and limiting magazine capacity. It should be noted that none of these have proven an effective means of reducing criminal access and usage, which constitutes almost all firearms-related homicides.
MDA’s first target was Starbucks. In 2010, Starbucks went public with its long-standing policy of following local laws allowing firearms possession in retail stores, something that many companies follow. The Brady Campaign made a big fuss about it, but nobody cared. Then the MDA came along, THREE YEARS LATER, and decided to spam Starbucks’ Facebook page with demands that the company ban guns within its stores, or face losing its customer base.
Now, you’d think that the above action would be correctly called a “boycott”–refusing to patronize a business unless it changes its policy. But, to the MDA, it’s not a boycott. Why don’t we take a look at the mass email that MDA sent out to its sheeple?
If you are like me, you enjoy your daily cup of coffee or tea. You may go to Starbucks several times a week, to grab a latte, meet friends or colleagues, or to take the kids for a treat after school. But did you know that at Starbucks you may be sipping your coffee next to someone carrying a loaded gun?
It’s true. Starbucks allows people to carry guns into their stores where state and local laws permit them to do so. It’s a dangerous and ill-advised policy, especially in light of several recent accidental shootings that have happened inside Starbucks stores.
Starbucks has the right to change their policy on guns. It’s put the health and safety of its customers first before. Starbucks recently banned smoking outside its stores, where it would otherwise be legal to smoke. It also bans firearms at all of its corporate offices and prohibits its employees from carrying guns in the interest of “workplace health, safety and security.” Why, then, won’t it extend this ban to its stores?
Help us tell Starbucks: It’s time to get gun sense.
Here are three things you can do to let Starbucks know that YOU take gun sense with your coffee, and demand that they do so as well:
1) Click here to sign our petition, which we will hand-deliver to Starbucks; send an email or Tweet to Starbucks CEO Howard Schultz; or send a letter to the editor of your local newspaper letting other moms in your community know that Starbucks allows loaded guns in their stores.
2) Take a picture of yourself with your coffee mug and a sign that says how you take your coffee (“milk, sugar and gun sense”) and send it to email@example.com. See our example below.
3) Join our Thunderclap! Click here to donate a post on your Facebook page or your Twitter feed on Monday, July 22.
We are not calling for a boycott of Starbucks. We’re simply asking you—and tens of thousands of moms like you—to pressure that Starbucks to ban guns from all of their stores, regardless of state laws on open carry.
Join moms around the country and me. Demand that Starbucks bring gun sense to their stores!
Thanks again for your support,
Founder, Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense In America
“We are not calling for a boycott of Starbucks.” According to the boltheads, including the less-than-genius leader herself, they are not calling for a boycott. Or are they? Explain this, Mrs Watts. Certainly looks like a boycott to me. Even uses the word “boycott.”
Gun owners and gun rights advocates were not, however, willing to take this one lying down. Nope! They launched a full counter-offensive to blot out the anti-gun boycott posts on Starbucks timeline. For every post indicating boycott, there were about five more posts from gun owners that chimed in to show their support. Putting their money where their mouth is, gun owners flooded Starbucks stores to show their support. In fact, anyone who wasn’t involved in this matter didn’t even notice that a few fools were boycotting.
To show you how completely uneducated these folks are, they actually engaged in crowing regarding a slight decline in the Starbucks stock value. Their narrow view, coupled with narcissism, had them claiming their boycott as the cause. Unable to see past their own nose, they completely disregarded the drop evident in the entire market. This is yet another example of their complete lack of knowledge when it comes to anything–be it firearms, laws, or even how the stock market works. And, even when MDA decided to officially launch their “Skip Starbucks Saturday” campaign, no one in the general public knew about it. Or even cared. Of course, the fact that they have clueless fools like her among the ranks might have to do something with it.
It was a clear demonstration of the outright lie touted by the clueless gun grabbers–the claim that “90% of the population are for new restrictive gun laws.” The sad part is, they knew they were beat. Instead of admitting defeat, they resorted to “reporting.” Not familiar with Facebook reporting? The result is that the post is deleted and the person posting the content is banned for 12 hours at a time. Their favorite infraction is using someone’s name in a post. Yep! That’s right! Respectfully refer to her as Mrs. Watts, and she’ll report you… handing you a 12 hour sentence in Facebook jail for your courtesy. And it’s a strategy employed by gun grabbers in general. Isn’t it ironic how they abuse their First Amendment rights, but don’t want to respect other people’s Second Amendment rights?
However, what ticks off me the most is her latest stunt. Someone dared to respectfully question her. This particular person was exceedingly respectful. Further, his background includes military experience, law enforcement, and firearms expertise. Watts, who has no experience in any of these areas, decides to threaten him. I’m not kidding. Take a look:
She labeled him as insane…
…And threatened with filing reports for “harassment.” Except that they are not “harassment,” as she has continued to respond. You see, there is protocol for harassment. When you send out a cease and desist, you STOP RESPONDING. PERIOD. If you continue to respond back, then you have no case. You are inviting further conversation, which is the case with Watts here.
According to Watts’ logic, it is wrong for someone who handles firearms for military and law enforcement to use their position to question the validity of gun control. Meanwhile, it is perfectly acceptable for someone with no experience in any of those fields to prance around in national media, projecting her twisted logic from that comfy little town that she lives in.
I can see it now, in the office where they handle complaints; “Hey, everyone, check this out! A public figure got all butthurt and filed for harassment complaints after she insulted someone and a ton of people called her out on it! BWAHAHAHAHA!!!“
In other words, not only will the authorities not care, they’ll likely laugh at her stupidity and incompetence.
Of course, none of that matters, because her sheeple will follow her anywhere. I mean, just look at ’em–they are the same fools that actually bought into the not-so-boycott boycott scheme. To me, it’s a great mystery… how are they able to function on daily basis without choking themselves while trying to tie their shoe laces?
For an added twist of surreal stupidity, enter Coalition to Stop Gun Violence. This equally worthless puppet organization aims to solve “gun violence”, not through taking guns away from criminals–no, that would make too much sense–but by taking them away from law abiding citizens. This testament to irrational emoting published an article about how Watts is a “strong, powerful” woman. The article characterizes gun rights advocates as “misogynists” because they call her out on what she truly is–“bitch” (from being so ornery all the time), “cock sucker” (I never met any women who wanted to take it in raw, have you?), “traitor” (what else should we call someone who abuses the First Amendment but ignores the Second Amendment for others?) and “liar” (not-so-boycott boycott comes into mind). Gun rights advocates aren’t misogynistic. We’re all for women protecting themselves. And the disabled protecting themselves as well. Watts, however, would rather have women raped and the disabled victimized. Then again, she’s in that nice cozy neighborhood, isn’t she?
Now, while I can’t condone what “Lyle” has written, the claim of “misogyny” is coming from the same group of morons that label gun owners and gun rights advocates as “racist,” “White,” “redneck,” “hillbilly,” “conservative,” and “tea-baggers,” to name a few.
There is another article about Watts, called Moms Demand Action: Shannon Watts, The Plastic Gardener, by a website called Gun Free Zone. Don’t let the name fool you. Go check it out.
There’s another thing that needs to be addressed. Some may call it “funny.” Not funny-ha-ha. Funny as in makes-your-hair-stand-on-end-and-can-not-be-ignored funny. You are probably aware that our Facebook page went down. But were you aware that it went down within hours of her article being posted? The clowns just love to abuse the report feature on Facebook, so there’s a good chance that it isn’t a coincidence. They are probably responsible for taking it down through mass reporting. It’s a logical explanation. We became a massive case of asspain for them, and they took us down. That thought alone gives us much satisfaction, because pissing off anti-gun clowns bring us great joy. Although the admins are a tad annoyed that the original page was taken down, we are glad to see that our page (with a relatively small following) has attracted the attention of organizations that operate on national level. So, even taking the page down has backfired. Is there anything this woman is capable of doing competently?
By the way, every time posts are made regarding Watts on pro-gun Facebook pages, they are taken down in matter of hours for “harassment.” Even when they clearly don’t contain any form of “harassment.” Just the mention of her name on any of the pro-gun pages is enough to warrant the MDA Gestapos abusing the report feature to have them removed. Our Facebook page wasn’t the only one to experience it–a lot of pro-gun pages were hit like that. But, guess what? THIS IS NOT FACEBOOK!! The MDA Gestapos can’t reach us here, so this article will remain up as long as we feel like it. ISN’T THIS GREAT?!
So, here’s to you, Shannon! Try your best to report this article to… oh, I don’t know, the FBI? MWAHAHAHA!! But, don’t forget the fact that you are a public figure now. Everything you do is subject to scrutiny. And it doesn’t matter whether you like it or not.
Also, since you are vehement about promoting gun free environment, why don’t you call for boycotts for the following companies? After all, they share the exact same policy as Starbucks when it comes to firearms possession;
Bank of America
Barnes & Noble
Bed, Bath & Beyond
BJ’s Wholesale Club
Chipotle Mexican Grill
Chuck E. Cheese
Dick’s Sporting Goods
Joe’s Crab Shack
Long John Silver’s
Lowe’s Home Improvement
Steak ‘n Shake
The Home Depot
Wegman’s Food Markets
That should keep you guys busy for a while. HA!

It has been a while, so I thought we would bring back the page using our buddy, Jonathan Romans. This has been a major concern . . .
Hi all, We are starting to promote the web page pretty hard as of late, so here we present to you a few things the . . .
